Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is one of the most devastating brain tumors with median survival of one year and presents unique challenges to therapy because of its aggressive behavior. Current treatment strategy involves surgery, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and adjuvant chemotherapy even though optimal management requires a multidisciplinary approach and knowledge of potential complications from both the disease and its treatment. Thymoquinone (TQ), the main bioactive component of Nigella sativa L., has exhibited anticancer effects in numerous preclinical studies. Due to its multitargeting nature, TQ interferes in a wide range of tumorigenic processes and counteract carcinogenesis, malignant growth, invasion, migration, and angiogenesis.
The present paper provides a new model of compact stars satisfying the Karmarkar condition. The model is obtained by assuming a new type of metric potential for grr from the condition of embedding class I. The model parameters are obtained accordingly by employing the metric potentials to Einstein's field equations. Our model is free from geometric singularity and satisfies all the physical conditions. The obtained mass and radius of the compact stars Cen X-3, EXO 1785-248 and SAX 1808.4-3658 obtained from the model are consistent with the observational data of T. Gangopadhyay et al.. Detailed analyses of these neutron stars (Cen X-3, EXO 1785-248 and SAX 1808.4-3658) are also given with the help of graphical representations.
Water-borne diseases constitute a major health burden in Bangladesh. The objective of this study was to assess the overall quality of mineral water samples that obtained from different shops of Dhaka city. To achieve the above-mentioned objective, methods of heterotrophic plate count (HPC) and total coliform count (TCC) were applied. Moreover, isolated colony from mineral water samples were characterized by using biochemical and antimicrobial susceptibility tests.
