in achieving that outcome for the benefit of the communities we serve by consistently showcasing the quality of the research output. A thorough conception of what pertains to research excellence and the ability
to communicate and evaluate research output in a broad context successfully is crucial and fundamental to all disciplines. Research Metrics Committee (RMC) aspires to impart an open access framework for the study
of measuring, evaluating and improving the efficiency, reliability and transparency of research and innovation in all areas of scientific scrutiny and applications.

- Guiding the BRACU research performance towards serving science, humanity and the institute.
Goals
- Monitoring and assessing the quantity and quality metrics of research inputs, state and outputs.
- Analyzing and comparing BRACU research performance to international & benchmark standards.
- Suggesting short- and long-term directions, improvements for better service and competitiveness.
- Supporting actions via information documentation, dissemination and training of investigators.
- Reporting the progress and status of BRACU research and innovation to the Research Council.
Scope
- Suggesting and monitoring high quality research metrics across BRACU, and their distribution by School/Departments and Institute/Center, and by PI teams and individuals.
- Pre-award guidance; Post-award monitoring and reporting; Contract & agreement, knowledge transfer and commercialization assessment and recommendation.
- Research metrics support; Resourcing and funding guidance; Research communications; IT and Library research services; Technical expertise and reporting of metrics.
